Admission

MIS offers two attendance options, half-day (8:30-11:30) and full-day (8:30-2:30) Monday through Friday. We also offer optional afterschool enrichment programs, based on interest and enrollment, for an additional fee. Admission Process
​

  1. Parents tour the school with the Director or Assistant Director.  This tour may or may not include the child.  The tour provides the family with an opportunity to learn more about the program and the possible fit for their child.  The family may take an application packet at this time. **Our tours are currently conducted virtually via ZOOM due to pandemic precautions.**

  2. The family and child come in for an interview and visit to the school.  This gives the educator and child a chance to meet and test for compatibility with the program. 

  3. The application form and a non-refundable registration fee are returned to the school.  This registration fee does not apply towards tuition cost.

  4. If an opening is available, the parents will receive an acceptance letter and information needed for the school year.  If there is no opening available, the child’s name is placed on a wait list and the parents are notified as to their status on the wait list.  Siblings of enrolled or former students are given preference in admission.  

  5. Enrollment may be allowed during the school year, if space allows.  A start date will be agreed upon by the director and family. 

  6. Any child who is enrolled after April 1st will automatically be enrolled for the following school year.

  7. The child’s paperwork and file must be complete before the child attends school.

Summer Program
​

MIS hosts a summer program throughout the months of June and July. Each year the director chooses themes to explore with the students. Past themes have included Amazing Artists, Super Science, Chefs in Training, and Animal Explorations. The summer program is offered on a weekly basis throughout the two months and is available to past, new, and returning students. Summer enrollment only may be permitted if space allows.
